Media Project Process Post 4

Because of some personal problems that needed attention last week, I did little last week in my project. Last week, I wrote a scene where the main character visits his injured love interest at the hospital where his employer visits him, even though he was indirectly responsible for her injury. The main her gets angry at him for his actions. This week, I added a cutaway scene of the creation of the first monster the hero will face. It was when a random jogger wearing a high-tech fitness tracker is captured by the villains and had a device inserted into the fitness tracker to transform him into a monster.

I also had some suggestions regarding the animal theme for the first monster as it should be scary enough to be a monster but common enough to be used as a form for the hero. I was suggested by a reception staff member a hoverfly; a native insect to the United Kingdom that is a fly with wasp patterns. I thought that the theme should be an animal everyone knows, so I decided on a bee, since the hoverfly resembled a bee or wasp. I discussed this with my teacher and also brought up the possibility of a bumblebee, but she brought up the fact that it would be too fuzzy to be scary. Ultimately, I went with a honeybee.

As I was writing this I now remember a monster based on a cute animal that still managed to be scary from Kamen Rider OOO: Shachi-Panda Yummy.

It gets worse the longer you look.
